Emmett has been Irish Correspondent for A10 since 2006. A10 is a pan-European journal and online platform for architecture. A10 is now a coop movement and is owned by the members of the coop.
During the last ten years, Emmett has written extensively about Irish architecture and architects. He has also written a guide to architecture in Dublin and produced an edition, EUROVISION, which presented the current state of architecture in Ireland. This was kindly supported by the Government Policy in Architecture and prepared in co-operation with the RIAI.
In 2017, Emmett has contributed the Irish chapter on competition culture in Europe a new initiative by Architectuur Lokaal and A10. Part criticism, part advocacy, Emmett uses his participation in A10 as a way of advocating for Irish architecture nationally and in Europe.
In 2012 Emmett represented Ireland at an A10 colloquium on the state of architecture in Europe at the Venice Biennale.
Emmett is a board member of A10Coop – the new iteration of A10, established in 2016. You can read many of the articles Emmett has written for A10 here.
